On Sunday, August 10, 2003 at 1 PM, the first class of Franklin Police Explorers received their badges during their "Phase I" graduation ceremony.  The ceremony was held at Dean College and there was a slide show, a video presentation and awards.  Family members were on hand and they were allowed to pin the badges on to the uniforms of the proud Explorers.  Twenty six Explorers graduated and four were selected as post officers who will lead the group.  The four officers are Captain Caitlin Saba, Lieutenant David Sloan, and Sergeants Matthew Dole and Matthew Sidebottom.  The program is part of the Law Enforcement Exploring program for young men and women ages 14-21 who might be interested in a career in law enforcement.
